How To Manually Fix SU-30625-6

You’re going to need a DS4 controller, USB cable, PC or Mac connected to the Internet. and a USB storage device, such as a USB flash drive with at least 460 MB of free space.
Using a PC or Mac, create a folder on the USB named “PS4”. Inside that folder, create another folder named “UPDATE”.
Download the update file and save it in the “UPDATE” folder. Save the file with the file name “PS4UPDATE.PUP”.
Ensure that the “PS4” folder is at the root of the USB storage device, and not contained in another folder: USB (D:) > PS4 > UPDATE.
  • Begin by connecting the DS4 controller (using a USB cable) and the USB drive to the PS4 system.
  • Start your PS4 in Safe Mode: press and hold the power button, release after the second beep.
  • Select Safe Mode, then option 3 – “Update System Software”.
  • Select “Update from USB Storage Device” – [OK].
  • If your system does not recognize the update file, check that the folder and file names are correct. Enter the folder and file names in uppercase letters.
If this doesn’t work, you may need to initialize the PS4 system. This is the same as a factory reset and will put the system back to factory settings.
