Hi! I’m Lokhi and I love video games. I love playing them, watching others play them, and … did I mention that I love playing video games?

I don’t have a large library of video games but the ones I do have range from First Person Shooters to Role-playing Games to Horror Games to games where you build stuff (not sure what the category for those are).

I have to be careful because some games give me a bad headache. It can be caused by the jerkiness of the camera(s), or the way the character I’m playing movies, or the graphics. There’s one game that I started playing that does that, and I really want to continue playing. Sadly though, I can play for about 5-10 minutes and then I have to quit because of the headache that ensues. Maybe one day I’ll get it done.

Guardian Down is my site, my baby … and right now, I am a one clown circus … XD .  That may sound sad and lonely, it’s not. I have fun doing this ‘job’, and I have people around me while I work. And music. Lots of music. Did I mention that I love my job.

I’m hoping to run across a couple of gamers who would like to give their reviews on everything to do with video gaming. It can be video games, consoles, the best place to stream, streaming gear, etc.

Why “Guardian Down”?

In late 2014, I started playing a gamed called “Destiny” (created by Bungie). It was (and still is) the most awesome game I had come across at that time. In Destiny, you play a character called a Guardian (protectors of Earth’s last safe city as they wield a power called Light to protect the City from different alien races). And the Guardians have a little companion called a Ghost (a robot artificial intelligence that accompanies the Guardians) that say “Guardian Down” when you die or get killed. See what I did there? 🙂

A Little Background

The very first video game that I played was Doom, on pc, around 2004. I got into it so much, that I would be up all night (literally) playing it. I played until I ‘beat’ the game, and then I would start over. I would go back in and look for the secrets that I had missed (I finally got them all) It wasn’t long after that I started playing Doom 2 & Wolfenstein.

My kids introduced to console video games in 2010, when I was in my early 40’s. The first game I played was HALO Reach. I was shooting the air, the ground, my own teammates; everything but the enemies. My teammates, thankfully, were quite understanding.

A short time later, I began playing Skyrim. I spent a lot of hours playing this one and managed to get to level 76. Unfortunately, I accidentally deleted my character by saving over it with a new character’s file. I was very sad, but I had already completed the game, so I was okay with it.

In late 2014 I saw a trailer for Destiny, and I was hooked. I had to have it. I went out the next day and bought Destiny, and have been playing it (and Destiny 2) ever since. I love the game, the creators, and the community.

And On That Note …

I’ll end this before it becomes a novel. If you have any questions or suggestions about this site or anything on it, feel free to send me a message.

Keep On Gaming!
